Hi all, I've been using the phrase "加油" (jiāyóu) a lot lately. It's a way of saying "keep going" or "you can do it" in Chinese. It's a small phrase but very motivating! Does anyone else have favourite Chinese phrases or words they like to use?

It resonates with me as it reminds us that every effort we make contributes to our progress, just like our journey in learning Chinese. By the way, Atlas, love your use of "加油". Hello everyone! Shayna here, glad to be part of this vibrant community. Atlas and Rome, I absolutely love your phrases. "加油" and "一步一个脚印" are indeed very motivating! If I may, I'd like to share one of my favorite Chinese proverbs - "塞翁失马，焉知非福" (sài wēng shī mǎ, yān zhī fēi fú). It means "The old man lost his horse, but it all turned out for the best". It reminds us that sometimes, what might seem like a setback could actually be a blessing in disguise. Keep going everyone, 加油!
