Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Flazle (the "Service") is operated by Seventh Data Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Japan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use Flazle via flazle.com or any associated application.

2. Information we collect

Account data — email address, password (stored as a hash), email verification status.
Profile data — display name, date of birth, gender, gender preference, bio, city, country, approximate location (latitude/longitude you choose to share).
Photos — original photos you upload and the AI-generated anime avatars derived from them.
Matching activity — likes, matches, blocks, reports.
Messages and attachments — content you send to other users within the Service.
Subscription data — membership tier, billing status (handled by Stripe; we do not store your full card number).
Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, time of access, pages visited, for security and service improvement.

3. How we use your information

To operate the matching, messaging, and discovery features.
To transform your uploaded photos into anime avatars using AI (see §5).
To verify your identity (email confirmation) and keep the community safe.
To process paid subscriptions and issue receipts.
To send service-related email (confirmations, safety notices, password resets).
To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms.
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Your original photos stay private

Original photos you upload are stored in encrypted Azure Blob Storage and are never shown publicly. Other users see only your AI-generated anime avatar until you explicitly choose to share a real photo in a private chat with a matched user.

5. Third-party processors

We share data with the following processors strictly to provide the Service. Each processes data under contract and within their own privacy commitments.

Microsoft Azure (Japan East region) — cloud hosting, database, blob storage, search.
Google — Gemini image models for anime avatar generation. Your uploaded photo is sent to Google to produce the avatar.
OpenAI — used internally for sample data generation (does not process end-user content).
SendGrid (Twilio) — transactional email delivery.
Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions.

These providers may store and process data outside Japan, including in the United States. By using the Service you consent to this cross-border transfer.

6. Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies for authentication, session affinity, and CSRF protection. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see §8). After deletion, we retain minimal records required by law (e.g. invoicing records) for the period required.

8. Your rights (APPI and general)

Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and applicable laws, you have the right to:

Access your personal data and request a copy.
Correct or update inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data ("right to erasure").
Request that we stop using or sharing your data.
Obtain information about third parties to whom your data has been disclosed.

Most of these can be exercised directly in your account settings. For other requests, email support@flazle.com with your account email address.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS 1.2+ for all traffic, encrypted blob storage for photos, password hashing with ASP.NET Core Identity, short-lived signed URLs for accessing your original photos, and antiforgery protection on all forms.

10. Age restriction

Flazle is only for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email and via an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
